JUST ANOTHER CLASSIFIER / GETTING STARTED

Your first local workflow.

What to expect, what you need, and where to begin. The full guide is bundled with the app.

What it is

Just Another Classifier helps you sort, route and choose using options and examples you provide. Build a saved Flow, try it with your own messages and inspect the results. It runs on your CPU and returns an answer, a refusal or a request for clarification with a receipt.

System requirements

Windows
Windows 10 22H2 or later, or Windows 11, on an x64 PC.
Processor
Any 64-bit (x64) processor. Classification runs on your CPU, no graphics card needed. Four or more cores recommended; CPU use can be adjusted in the app.
Language
English. Support for other languages is planned for later.
Connection
Internet access for download, checkout, activation, licence renewal and updates. Classification runs locally.
Offline use
A valid cached licence supports up to 3 days offline, capped by the access date shown in the app. Help remains available offline.
Memory and storage
At least 4 GB of RAM, 8 GB recommended. The classifier engine uses under 1 GB while it runs with Reading set to Standard; Close Read adds up to about 0.5 GB and Second Opinion up to about 1 GB while in use. Plan for at least 3 GB of free disk space before installing: the download is about 1.1 GB and the installed app about 1.5 GB. Installation, updates and your saved data may need more.

Start with one task

  1. Pick a task and a few clearly different options. Search the Intent Library for a starting point, or add your own.
  2. Add at least 5 labelled examples per option; about 10 is recommended. Edit library examples to fit your work. Teaching is how a Flow gets better, so keep adding the messages your customers really send.
  3. Tune locally, then check readiness on separate messages that were not used as teaching examples.
  4. Review the results, save improvements as a draft and choose when to make that version live.

Examples of suitable first tasks include routing enquiries, tagging requests and choosing the next branch of a workflow. Accuracy depends on the task and examples. A count of examples is not a readiness score.

Use it with an app or agent

The local API, command line, SDK and MCP integration give your software ways to use the classifier. An agent can call saved Flows; the teaching API also supports preparing examples, reviewing feedback and checking drafts.

Set up a separate local key with only the permissions that integration needs. Keep approval to make a Flow live separate from teaching. A returned label or action is data: your application still controls whether an external action is allowed.

Classification stays local, but a cloud-based agent may send the material you give it elsewhere. Use its privacy settings deliberately. Connection instructions and the full developer reference are in Help inside the app.

The guide for your version

The full guide is in the app under Help, and it always matches your version.

Help includes everyday tasks, teaching and feedback, troubleshooting, agent connections and developer guidance. It is available offline and without a valid licence.
